Quamel Hawkins, 26, of Fredericksburg, was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Jaquan Mincy, 23, of Spotsylvania, when a Fredericksburg police officer stopped them on Tuesday, Sept. 26 on Fall Hill Avenue, FXB police said.
After authorities noticed Hawkins reaching under his leg, they searched the vehicle and found a loaded 9mm Glock on Hawkins, Fredericksburg police said.
Mincy, who arrested on Sept. 21 with possession of a concealed weapon, was found in possession of a handgun stolen from Spotsylvania County, police said. Authorities also found $500 and marijuana.
Mincy was charged with possession of a stolen firearm and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Hawkins was charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.
Both men were being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $1,000 secured bond.
